The title of “Tropical Coast” is not by chance. There is sunshine here for more time than anywhere else in Europe. The climate enjoyed in Almuñecar welcomes a wide variety of exotic plants and it is in the Botanical Garden of El Majuelo where the majority of these varieties have been brought together, in total 182 different species.

The Botanical Garden of El Majuelo is located at the foot of San Miguel Castle and is right in the town centre of Almuñecar; it is a place of reference for recreational and craft work activities. There are also a series of small shops where you can purchase souvenirs to remind you of your visit to this beautiful place.
