The castle is located in Salobreña , that belongs to the tropical coast , 10 minutes far away from Almuñécar . It’s a question of a village of small white houses that climb up a majestic knoll ( cliff ) , on whose peak arises the imposing massive appearance of its castle .

It has its origin in the century XIII and was the summer vacation residence at the tropical coast of the Nazaraen Kings of Granada . It was also used by the Christians as a real prison and an military enclosure . Actually it is residence of the amusing and cultural activities .
